Pre-Christmas Catch Up

It’s been a while, but I think it’s time for a bit of a catch up before 2017 peaces out.

The last month or two have been so busy, but busy with lots of fun and work.

First up on the fun events list was celebrating Callie’s birthday up at Sun Peaks. She booked a gorgeous condo up there and we stayed for 2 nights. It was such a great and relaxing weekend. I love spending time up at the ski hill…and maybe one day I’ll actually get back into snowboarding again.

We had so much yummy food, lots of cranberry Moscow mules and wine, and plenty of chit-chat!

Here’s the link for the drinks we made, I used this more-so just as a guide and kind of eyeballed the measurements. One suggestion is letting it sit in the fridge for a little while and use real limes, made it taste so good!

Sunday morning we headed down the hill and did the annual Homes for the Holidays event. Not gonna lie…I think this year was not so great and Ash and I may have bailed after only a few places.

Next up was my work Christmas party. I loooove a Christmas party and this year we did a multi-company party that was so much fun. The food was delish and the music was great. We spent the night dancing and it was the perfect way to start December!

Since the beginning of December I’ve been pretty flat out with work. I did get to go on a quick overnight trip to Kelowna for the Jim Jeffries comedy show. That was a lot of fun and we stayed in a gorgeous Airbnb right by the lake.

I can’t believe how close Christmas is already…I know I say it every year but holy crap, 2017 has flown by. I have some exciting plans coming up for 2018 and I am really looking forward to the new year.

Birthday celebrations at Monte Creek Ranch!

Last week was my birthday…and it was awesome! I am totally one of those birthday loving people, bring on the attention, cake and presents.

I was planning on just going out for dinner with family and friends – but my mom saw that a local winery was hosting a music event on my birthday so we decided to head out there.

My birthday day was fantastic from the beginning, from coffee and breakfast with Ash, lunch with another friend and then heading out to Monte Creek Ranch Winery.

The tickets for the event were only $10 and included a wine tasting (my fav activity, if you didn’t know that by now). My mom and Erica really went above and beyond and brought a whole table full of food and 3 (yes THREE) cakes!

I think everyone had a fantastic time, the band was great and the wine was even better. It was so nice to be able to lounge on the lawn, play some games and relax while visiting with everyone. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I also got presents and had all my favourite people with me.

The music finished around 9 and we stuck around until the employees kicked us out…apparently, they wanted to head home. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate turning 28!

It’s My Birthday! (Again!)

Oh hey, just a 28 year old over here! I thought I’d keep on last years theme and do a picture round up from the last year. What a doozy of a year it was, coming home from traveling, buying my first home, plenty of weddings and fun and even getting Lucy a kitty sibling! Without being too wordy I’ll show ya!
